“Cbkc delegates day-to-day opersation and control of the 4001 blue parkway office building, the 5008 prospect office building, and the shops on blue parkway to a professional management company, colliers international. Colliers supervises personnel and is responsible for budgets and financial management of these commercial and retail properties. Cbkc management provides oversight of colliers' execution of its management duties. Cbkc delegates day-to-day operations and contol of its housing units that it directly or indirectly owns to fulson asset management company and mccormick baron salazar. Fulson and mccormick baron are responsible for asset management, budgets, and financial management of these properties; cbkc provides oversight. None of cbkc's current or former officers, directors, key employees, or highest compensated employees were compensated by these properties.”
“Cbkc presents and discusses a draft of its form 990 with the organization's senior management, as well as the board of directors. Comments and questions of the reviewing individuals are addressed by those responsible for preparing the form 990 and appropriate modifications are made to the draft before it is filed.”

Cbkc commercial llc, 5008 prospect, llc, blue parkway towne center office building ii, llc, shops on blue parkway, llc, madison lucy realty, llc, ridgeview heights holdings, llc, twin elms holdings, llc, oz development company, llc, parkway apartment i holdings, llc, and rochester llc are disregarded entities for tax purposes, and financial results are included with the results of its sole member (cbkc) for tax reporting purposes. Scb supportive housing developers, llc, cbkc housing iii, llc, eastpointe realty llc, blue parkway grocers llc, and midtown grocers, llc have elected to be taxed as a corporation. Income tax expense for the taxable entities is immaterial or zero due to limited or no operating activity income or operating losses. Mt. Cleveland l.p., 3223 hardesty l.p., 41st & paseo l.p., parkway apartments i l.p., ivanhoe gardens apartments l.p., scb special needs housing, l.p., scb m.i., l.p., and troostwood, l.p. Are limited partnerships, and taxable income passes through to their partners. Oakland redevelopment, llc and rcg ii, llc are limited liability companies and taxable income passes through to the members. Uncertain tax positions, if any, are recorded in accordance with asc topic 740, income taxes. Asc 740 requires the recognition of a liability for tax positions taken that do not meet the more-likely-than-not standard that the position will be sustained upon examination by the taxing authorities. There is no liability for uncertain tax positions recorded at december 31, 2022 or 2021.”

CBKC CURRENTLY IS UNDERTAKING AN INITIATIVE TO IMPROVE THE BRUSH CREEK CORRIDOR BY DEVELOPING A 60,000/250,000 SQUARE FOOT CAMPUS LOCATED IN AN OPPORTUNITY ZONE. WITH AN INITIAL INVESTMENT OF $20 MILLION AND A PROJECTED BUILT OUT CAMPUS OF $70-$90 MILLION COMPRISED OF COMMERCIAL/MIXED USE PROPERTIES, THE INITIATIVE WILL TARGET AS TENANTS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, FOUNDATIONS, AND PUBLIC SECTOR BUSINESSES THAT PROVIDE SERVICES AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE URBAN CORE. AT THE END OF 2020, CBKC WAS AWARDED NOTICE OF LIHTC FUNDING FOR RENOVATIONS AT THE CLEVELAND. |

OCCUPANCY LEVELS AT THE 10 MULTI-FAMILY PROPERTIES WERE GENREALLY MAINTAINED AT OR ABOVE 90% FOR 2021. CBKC'S RENTAL HOUSING HAS CONSISTENLY RECEIVED ABOVE AVERAGE RATINGS FROM THE MISSOURI HOUSING DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION. DURING 2020 CBKC UNDERTOOK THE INITIAL PLANNING FOR AN ADDITIONAL 64 UNITS OF RESIDENTIAL HOUSING THAT WAS COMPLETED IN NOVEMBER OF 2022. |

DURING 2020, CBKC PURCHASED THE ASSETS OF A GROCERY STORE AND CONTINUED ITS OPERATION TO PROVIDE A FOOD SOURCE TO THE COMMUNITY. CBKC ALSO OWNS AND MANAGES 85,000 SQUARE FEET OF OFFICE SPACE. CBKC HAS LEASED OFFICE SPACE TO A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF NOT-FOR-PROFITS THAT PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE SURROUNDING UNDERSERVED COMMUNITY. DURING 2019, CBKC TOOK INITIAL INTITATIVE TO ACQUIRE AND DEVELOP COMMERCIAL PROPERTY ON AN 11-ACRE BLIGHTED AND DISTRESSED AREA OF THE BRUSH CREEK CORRIDOR IN KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI TO IMPROVE AN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITY. DURING 2020, CBKC PURCHASED THE ASSETS OF A GROCERY STORE AND CONTINUED ITS OPERATION TO PROVIDE A FOOD SOURCE TO THE COMMUNITY. IN 2022, CBKC PURCHASED A SECOND STORE AND EMPLOYS AROUND 100 PEOPLE. |
