Mission

The ballet's mission is to preserve and advance the art of ballet, to increase access to ballet, and to use the minnesota ballet resources to serve the greater community. The ballet's goals are to educate through our school and company the art of ballet. Present highly professional performances and dance instruction in the northland, nationally and internationally and to bring ballet to the people where they live, work, and go to school.

The ballet follows the recognition requirements of uncertain tax positions as required by generally accepted accounting principles, if any. The ballet has analyzed tax positions taken for filing with the internal revenue service and all state jurisdictions where it operates. As of june 30, 2015 and 2014, the ballet had no uncertain tax positions that qualify for either recognition or disclosure in the financial statements. With few exceptions, the ballet is no longer subject to u.s. Federal, state, and local income tax examinations by tax authorities for years before 2012.
