“Any Minnesota educational system, school district, educational institution, association of institutions, nonprofit organization, corporation or individual, which subscribes, and is committed to the purpose of the MNEEP, shall be eligible for membership. All members will be full members of MNEEP. Each full member shall have one vote on all issues at each annual meeting of the membership. An eligible organization or individual becomes a member of MNEEP upon being accepted as such by action of the Board and payment of the required fees.”

“Teacher of Color/American Indian Teacher Campaign (TOC): The TeachMN2020 Initiative seeks to drive a statewide campaign for increasing the numbers of teachers of color/American Indian teachers in MN. It aims to shape an initiative capitalizing on the use of cutting-edge technology to support a statewide "systems mapping and engagement process of stakeholders critical to big systems decision making on public investment in producing and keeping effective teachers in Minnesota schools. This effort will lead to a new understanding by public decision-makers of the teacher pathway eco-system and is unique across the nation. It seeks collaboration with education advocacy partners and the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) to create a strong database and accountability tool that will capture the success rates of graduating and supporting teachers of color and American Indian teachers in the professional field and review results of current higher education teacher prep programs. It provides a fiscal sponsor role to a statewide "Coalition to Increase Teachers of Color & American Indian Teachers in MN and participated in their summer 2016 conference. Emerging Multilinguals Network (EML): MnEEP seeks to advance effective practices that help drive the academic success of students learning English while enrolled in Minnesota's public schools. This group is the fastest growing student population in the state. The EML initiative advocates for multilingual development integrated in school EL policies and practices, empower with knowledge and oversight for schools to practice with more fidelity to Minnesota's expectations as encompassed in the state's LEAPS Act in policy implementation, have communities trained, engaged and involved in school decision-making for EML students, and build up the public will for the importance of multilingualism as an asset to be cultivated as part of our state's education outcomes. In 2016-17 MNEEP worked collaboratively with the Coalition of Asian American Leadership to engage communities directly for recommendations to the state's Department of Education as it prepared its federal ESSA Implementation Plan which required for the first time a major accountability system for the academic success of English Language Learners.”
