Mission

Our mission: strengthening our community by partnering with individuals and organizations to create, maintain and support a competitive workforce.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Dislocated worker program - clients are individuals who have lost their job through no fault of their own, qualify for unemployment insurance benefits, and are unlikely to be able to return to their previous occupation or industry. In 2012, we served 1,013 people in the dislocated worker program. We arranged for 445 dislocated workers to receive training to update their skills, to retrain for a new career, or to prepare for their ged. We provided job search assistance to over 275 dislocated workers.quality career services provides training funds to eligible dislocated workers to attend training programs at local community and technical colleges and other institutions. Quality career services arranges with non-profits and government agencies, known as host agencies, to provide skills training to eligible seniors through a community service assignment. In both cases the purpose of the training is to make the individual marketable, allowing them to re-enter the workforce.quality career services has a variety of services for unemployed individuals:career counseling assessment and testingjob leads and job placementclerical supportnetworking meetings and networking contact referralsclassroom trainingadult skills enhancement (ged diagnostic exams and preparation, esl training, computer skills training)
