A draft of the prepared form 990 is reviewed by the audit and finance committee of the governing body. Any changes suggested by the committee are presented to the members of the governing body for approval. The prepared form 990 is filed with the irs after approval of the governing body.

At the beginning of each meeting, all directors are asked to disclose any previously undisclosed conflicts of interest. A director with a conflict may be asked to recuse himself/herself from the particular motion or consideration. Any disclosures of conflicts of interest become record as a part of the minutes of the meeting.

The personnel committee of the governing body annually reviews the latest compensation and benefits survey prepared by the united way of dane county. The executive director's compensation and benefits are determined based on a comparison of the duties and responsibilities of executive directors as outlined in the survey to the duties and responsibilities of wayforward resources, inc.'s executive director as well as the executive director's job performance. The executive director's compensation is approved, in writing, by the personnel committee and reported to all members of the governing body.

ABOUT 700 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED HOUSING STABILITY FUNDS IN THE MOST RECENT FISCAL YEAR.THE CONNECTIONS HOUSING PROGRAM SERVES HOUSEHOLDS IN DOUBLED-UP LIVING ARRANGEMENTS. DOUBLING-UP IS WHEN AN INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY LIVES WITH ANOTHER HOUSEHOLD TEMPORARILY OR SHUFFLES INDEFINITELY BETWEEN HOMES BECAUSE OF ECONOMIC NEED. THE CONNECTIONS PROGRAM SUPPORTS INDIVIDUALS THROUGH CASE MANAGEMENT AND FUNDS TO ENSURE HOUSEHOLDS HAVE A PLACE OF THEIR OWN TO CALL HOME.
