Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Our mission is to instill hope in our community through progressive programs and partnerships to prevent homelessness and end hunger.

Middleton outreach ministry is a community-based charitable organization that offers food, clothing, financial assistance, and other aid to community residents who require transitional help. Middleton outreach ministry also provides volunteer opportunities for community residents seeking to help their community. This volunteer support, along with community financial contributions, are annually directed to the betterment of the middleton, cross plains, and west madison community through helping those in need.

The organization leases its employees, including its executive director, from the employer group, inc. The executive director performs management duties such as supervising personnel, planning and executing budgets and financial operations, and conducting exempt operations. During calendar year 2017 the prior executive director received $41,415 of reportable compensation and $1,485 of other compensation and the current executive director received $55,184 of reportable compensation and $2,016 other compensation from the employer group, inc.

A draft of the prepared form 990 is reviewed by the audit and finance committee of the governing body. Any changes suggested by the committee are presented to the members of the governing body for approval. The prepared form 990 is filed with the irs after approval of the governing body.

At the beginning of each meeting, all directors are asked to disclose any previously undisclosed conflicts of interest. The executive director's compensation is approved, in writing, by the personnel committee and reported to all members of the governing body.

GUESTS AT THESE COMPLEXES HAVE A HARD TIME REACHING OUR FOOD PANTRY DUE TO TRANSPORTATION AND MOBILITY ISSUES AND GREATLY LOOK FORWARD TO THEIR VISIT FROM THE MOM TRUCK.MOM ALSO OPERATES THREE FOOD PANTRY GARDENS, ONE OF WHICH IS A TEACHING GARDEN, AND TWO WHICH ARE USED TO GROW FRESH HEALTHY PRODUCE FOR THE FOOD PANTRY. THE PROGRAM REACHES NEARLY 1,000 STUDENTS IN TOTAL EACH YEAR THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF THE COMMUNITY.MOM'S THANKSGIVING PROGRAM OFFERS ALL THE FIXINGS FOR A THANKSGIVING MEAL TO 350 FAMILIES IN THE MOM SERVICE AREA AND SMALLER MEAL BASKETS TO NEARLY 100 SENIORS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. THE SHARING CHRISTMAS PROGRAM MATCHES DONORS WITH HUNDREDS OF LOCAL FAMILIES WHO HAVE SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERED THROUGH MOM.
