Activity 2

Developmental disability services. Under the program, services are provided to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Judson center believes people with developmental disabilities reach their maximum potential in a loving and safe environment. We have created such environments by providing six group homes for adults with developmental disabilities. Respite care, another one of our program provides temporary relief to parents and caregivers of children and adults who are medically fragile or have developmental disabilities by providing the parents and caregivers with much needed breaks from the day to day stresses that come with caring for a child or an adult with a developmental disability or physical impairment. The vocational services program exists to promote growth, opportunity, and independence for individuals with disabilities by developing inclusive employment options. Our approach is person centered and strengths based. We believe each person can achieve optimal success given the right circumstances and supports. We assertively facilitate integrated, community based employment wherein individuals and communities experience meaningful and productive outcomes. These connections between individuals and employers involve matching the interests, preferences, and abilities of the individual to the requirements and demands of jobs/positions in the community. During the past year, more than 240 adults with disabilities were provided the opportunity to work with dignity in 57 separate locations representing 39 southeast michigan companies. Through our independence living program adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness have the opportunity to live in their own apartments or homes. After determining the level of support and supervision needed, we guide and support their transition from dependence to independence. 52 adults with disabilities were able to live as independently as possible. 128 adults with disabilities were given the chance to work in the community. 187 families received 4,056 days of loving respite care for a family member with a disability.

Activity 3

Judson center autism connections is dedicated to supporting the needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (asd), we encourage early intervention and provide the most appropriate treatment for each individual, including applied behavior analysis, therapy, counseling and social skills training. We have offices in royal oak and ann arbor. In addition to providing specialized care and treatment for individuals with autism, autism connections strives to support the entire family byoffering family support services for parents and siblings of those affected by autism. Judson center autism connections provided services to 529 children with the autism spectrum disorder (asd). 60 children received intensive applied behavior analysis treatment (aba). 286 sessions of our summer program were provided to 132 consumers with asd. 990 individual treatment sessions were provided to individuals with asd and/or family members. 280 support services were provided toindividuals with asd and family members. 20 trainings on autism were provided to local families and professionals.
