Mid Central Community Action, Inc. also provides: Youth violence prevention programs, 40 hour Domestic Violence Training, Domestic Violence 101 workshops, Domestic Violence Simulation and professional trainings by certified domestic violence advocates. In the period July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017 we assisted 3,592 hotline callers in accessing services.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0Our Housing Department lines of business include: homeownership promotion and preservation through homebuyer education workshops, pre and post purchase counseling, and down payment assistance programs; multi and single family transitional housing rental units; and the acquisition of foreclosed or scheduled for demolition homes to rehabilitate and sell for single family occupancy. We also provide multi-unit permanent supportive housing services to formerly homeless single adults. Our financial coaching services include: financial fitness workshops, credit building and repair, budgeting and establishing savings plans education, and debt reduction counseling. Mid Central Community Action, Inc. is a collaborative partner in the Next Step program to provide bundled services with partnering agencies to help individuals and families become financially secure. In the period July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, 107 participants attended homebuyer education, 61 households completed pre-purchase homebuyer education workshops and 45 households completed homebuyer education and purchased a house.
