Activity 2

Carpenters place provides housing for 58 homeless adults. The target populations for this program include: 3 veterans, 12 chronically homeless adults, 8 women with no attendant children, 4 homeless adults with mental illness, 22 men that had successfully completed an in-patient rehab program and upon release were homeless, 7 men who obtained new employment, but had not yet become self-supporting, and two men in general case management. Each housing program has a manager that provides oversight and case management for participants.

Activity 3

Carpenters place provides a day shelter where homeless men and women can access services and be safe from the dangers of the streets and inclement weather. For the fiscal year ending june 30, 2012, an average of 87 individuals came to the day shelter daily totaling 28,998 visitors. In the same time, 24,163 meals were served, 1,588 showers were taken, 1,057 attended classes or support groups, and 3,012 phone calls were made on a phone that is available for housing, employment, and medical calls by the homeless.
