Each Trustee on the RUSH Board of Trustees additionally serves in such capacity on either the RUMC or Copley Board. As such, each Trustee is subject to the conflict of interest policies of RUMC or Copley, as applicable. Similarly, each RUSH Officer additionally serves as an Officer of either RUMC or Copley and is thus subject to the conflict of interest policies of RUMC or Copley, as applicable. RUSH is evaluating the benefits of implementing a single conflict of interest policy that would be system-wide, across the Rush System, and of which all trustees, officers, and employees of the Rush System would be subject.

Rush University System for Health relies on related organizations to determine compensation of the CEO and other officers. The related organizations use an independent review, comparability data and contemporaneous substantiation to establish compensation packages for officers. All officer compensation packages are approved by the Compensation and Human Resources Committee of the respective related organizations.
