Mission

Pan african christian exchange (pace) serves the marginalized and economically impoverished communities of kenya, as the host country, africa and the african diaspora in the caribbean and south america. Our services include, but are not limited to, providing 1) educational opportunities for persons needing elementary, high school, vocational and/or religious studies; 2) economic development opportunities for women, youth and the poor; 3) affordable health and dental services to infants, children, women and senior citizens; and 4) christian evangelism and church leadership training to those in the service of the church. Pace provides learning opportunities in an exchange format for north american and african individuals and groups of individuals who partner with pace. These individuals not only participate in service trips, commonly called "mission trips" sponsored by pace, but many also assist pace in providing the needed services through financial giving and gifts-in-kind. Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

In 2013 the organization arranged and sponsored 5 mission teams and 4 individuals. In kenya, team projects included food and nutrition assistance for 400 elementary and high school students, leadership development for approximately 200 pastors and community leaders, and assistance with construction of girl's dormitories. Assistance was also provided for a computer upgrade. In rwanda projects included construction of three churches and leadership training for about 100 pastors and community leaders. In congo assistance was provided for rehabilitation of classrooms and educational resources. In haiti participants assisted with construction of two family homes, clothing and feeding for an orphanage with over 200 children. The haiti project also included teaching, sports and feeding resources for a youth and teens retreat.

In 2013, the organization provided supervisory personnel for the pan african christian exchange centre school in kenya, along with 49,521 in financial aid grants for education, food and nutrition, health services and economic development in east africa. Special projects included support for a community well.

ASSISTANCE WAS ALSO PROVIDED FOR A COMPUTER UPGRADE. IN RWANDA PROJECTS INCLUDED CONSTRUCTION OF THREE CHURCHES AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR ABOUT 100 PASTORS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS. IN CONGO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED FOR REHABILITATION OF CLASSROOMS AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES. IN HAITI PARTICIPANTS ASSISTED WITH CONSTRUCTION OF TWO FAMILY HOMES, CLOTHING AND FEEDING FOR AN ORPHANAGE WITH OVER 200 CHILDREN. THE HAITI PROJECT ALSO INCLUDED TEACHING, SPORTS AND FEEDING RESOURCES FOR A YOUTH AND TEENS RETREAT.
