Pan african christian exchange (pace) serves the marginalized and economically impoverished communities of kenya, as the host country, africa and the african diaspora in the caribbean and south america. Our services include, but are not limited to, providing 1) educational opportunities for persons needing elementary, high school, vocational and/or religious studies; 2) economic development opportunities for women, youth and the poor; 3) affordable health and dental services to infants, children, women and senior citizens; and 4) christian evangelism and church leadership training to those in the service of the church. Pace provides learning opportunities in an exchange format for north american and african individuals and groups of individuals who partner with pace. These individuals not only participate in service trips, commonly called "mission trips" sponsored by pace, but many also assist pace in providing the needed services through financial giving and gifts-in-kind. Neither pace participants nor its partners serve for profit.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

In 2014 the organization arranged and sponsored 9 mission teams to east africa consisting of 60 participants. Team projects included teaching classes in journalism and art along with tutoring and support for students. The teams provided outreach to children, youth and senior citizens, along with counseling seminars, church leader seminars, and staff enrichment for teachers. The teams conducted vacation bible camps and sports camps for children and youth. Two of the teams provided medical care at the pace internally displaced persons camp and at the senior citizens center. Vitamin supplements were distributed at select nursery schools. One team provided leadership training seminars for pastors in uganda and other east african countries. Two of the teams did school construction work.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 29

In 2014, the organization provided supervisory personnel for the pan african christian exchange centre school in kenya, along with 56,908 in financial aid grants for education, food and nutrition, and spiritual development in east africa.

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 30

During the past four years the organization has partnered with a pastor in haiti doing relief work. In order to help provide a more holistic approach for the work in haiti, arrangements were made for this pastor to visit kenya and rawanda so he could learn more about the work of pace in these countries and how it might apply to haiti.
