Program 3: 18th annual statewide conference on child abuse preventiona. Goal 1 is to provide the best possible information on new and emerging issues and practices in the field and to provide attendees with practical information and skills that will improve their effectiveness in working with families and children. Objectives/accomplishments:(1) organize and facilitate a statewide planning committee/achieved - 66 members(2) plan a date and place/achieved(3) develop an organizing theme/achieved - children matter, get involved"(4) identify and engage four plenary speakers and 24 workshop topics and presenters/achieved(5) organize a friend of children awards selection committee and select awardees/achieved(6) plan an awards luncheon and program/achieved(7) develop conference print materials and marketing strategy/achieved(8) host the conference/achieved(9) reach an attendance of 330/achieved - 360(10) conference evaluation ratings of 4.0 on a 5.0 point scale/achieved - conference and hotel accommodations (4.5), plenary session speakers (4.9, 4.9, 4.0, 4.8), average for all workshops (4.5).
