Mission and Program Overview
Mission
Provides technical services, information and educational materials/programs to members, state, federal and local public works agencies and the general public. Acpa conducts and/or participates in road and airfield research to develop state-of-the-art, safe and durable concrete pavements that require minimal maintenance and reduce congestion resulting from the more frequent repair needs of petroleum-based paving materials. The acpa has been a leader in creating awareness of the need to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities that occur on u.s. Roads, because of deficiencies. Acpa also has been a leader in pursuing pavement design and construction that is more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
