“MEMBERS”

“Eligibility for membership: application for voting membership of the corporation shall be open to any domestic or foreign profit or nonprofit corporation, general or limited partnerships, associations or other entities that support the purposes of the corporation. The board of directors shall grant membership after completion and receipt of a membership application and required dues. All memberships shall be granted upon a majority vote of the board. The affairs of the corporation shall be managed by the board, who shall be elected from the active membership of the corporation: provided the president of the corporation shall serve as an ex-officio voting member of the board.”

“Form 990 is prepared by an independent cpa firm and an initial review conducted by the organization's accountant. Prior to filing form 990, a final review is made by the board as directed by the board chairman.”

“The conflict of interest policy requires annual disclosure and certification (by january 15), or as soon as a new member is elected to the board. Any potential conflicts are reviewed by the executive director.”

Hire america's heroes seeks to promote best practices and success strategies by which america's military family members are welcomed into the corporate workforce. Veterans of all eras, transitioning service members, spouses, wounded warrior care givers, members of blue star families and gold star families are all welcomed. We work to influence the ecosystem for increased employment of military service members as a category. Our services are directed toward educating and informing stakeholders in order to raise their understanding of relevant issues, connecting the players who can influence the issues, and promoting action that will result in family wage jobs for members of the military family. Hire america's heroes is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. The organization seeks to connect america's major corporations with the rich skills and abilities of military service members and their families for the purpose of employment in the corporate workforce.”

“The board of directors authorized the transition of sponsors & members to another nonprofit corporation, hiring our heroes, which is operated by the us chamber of commerce. The dissolution of hire america's heroes was approved by the washington attorney general in december 2018.”

“Hire america's heroes connects america's major corporations with the rich skills and abilities of military service members and their families for the purpose of employment in the corporate workforce. The organization engages interested corporations in activities designed to educate, promote, and facilitate recognized best-practice processes and success strategies for sourcing, recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, supporting, and retaining america's military service members and veterans. This is done via careerdays, symposia, industry forums, and other specific projects. In 2018, a final symposium (employer education event) was held in seattle, washington. The board of directors authorized the transition of sponsors & members to another nonprofit corporation, hiring our heroes, which is operated by the us chamber of commerce. The dissolution of hire america's heroes was approved by the washington attorney general in december 2018. The final wind-down activities were completed during 2019, with the submission of this 990 and state reports in washington and california in accordance with the approved dissolution documentation.”
