Mission

We believe that youth should be equipped to address our state's growing demand for a skilled workforce. Our role in serving this belief is to provide human and financial resources from our community and corporate partners to help promising programs achieve scale. We facilitate these efforts by researching, qualifying and investing in programs that provide real world applications of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for indiana's underserved youth.

A venture philanthropy organization incubating science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs for high student impact and scalable for underserved populations.

INDIANAPOLIS IS ONE OF SEVEN CITIES AROUND THE COUNTRY SELECTED TO UNDERTAKE THIS WORK, AND TPF4Y IS THE COALITION LEAD FOR THE CITY. WITH THE SUPPORT OF OUR GUIDING COALITION PARTNERS, WE ARE RECRUITING STEM PROFESSIONALS TO WORK WITH VETTED, HIGH-IMPACT PROGRAMS IN ORDER TO SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE STEM MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIRLS, MINORITIES, AND LOW-INCOME YOUTH. TO DATE, MORE THAN 700 STUDENTS HAVE PARTICIPATED IN OVER 5,000 HOURS OF EXPERIENTIAL STEM LEARNING.

SINCE THEN, 13 NEW DOJOS HAVE LAUNCHED AND 7 MORE ARE PLANNING TO LAUNCH BY THE END OF JUNE 2017. TODAY, CODERDOJO INDIANA IS SERVING MORE THAN 180 INDIANA STUDENTS AND ENGAGING 36 CODING PROFESSIONALS IN VOLUNTEERISM. ADDITIONALLY, THE PLANNING FOR THE FIRST ANNUAL CODERDOJO INDIANA HACKATHON HAS BEGUN AND THE EVENT IS CURRENTLY SCHEDULED FOR JULY 22, 2017. THE HACKATHON WILL PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR COLLABORATION AND LEARNING FOR HUNDREDS OF COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS.
