Activity 2

Inpatient services: located in dekalb county, the 16 bed inpatient hospital provides adults and geriatrics with psychiatric stabilization services. All services are provided by trained medical staff, behavioral health therapists, technicians and psychiatrists. The emergency services are also located at the inpatient facility and are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The emergency on-call staff work closely with other service providers in the community to ensure continuity of care for people in crisis. The inpatient hospital served 588 consumers during the year ended june 30, 2010, and provided $956,129 in charity care.

Activity 3

Residential services: the residential services are comprised of four residential homes. Two adult homes have 14 beds total and provide homes for short or long-term stays for adult men and women with chronic mental health needs and substance abuse addictions. Services for these adult homes include 24 hour supervision, skill building for greater independence, and specialized services to address chemical addictions. Promise house is a safe and structured crisis care home for adults in need of short term respite. Adults in crisis situations reside here temporarily and work with clinical staff until they are able to stabilize and return to their community. The fourth residential home is a child and adolescent home for up to 10 children, age 18 and under. Trained clinical staff provide 24- hour supervision, along with skill building training that promotes not only healthy living, but independence as well. During the year ended june 30, 2010 the residential program provided temporary homes for 131 persons in need, and provided $559,224 in charity care.
