“Legacy charities is involved in facilitating programs that bring indigent orphaned infants, toddlers, young children with medical needs, and blind children into foster care. Legacy charities facilitates and assists with care of the orphans in appropriate facilities, provides nutritional care, arranges medical care and surgicalprocedures as needed. Legacy charities worked on several major projects in 2019: new day foster home: 5 children were adopted; 16 surgeries were provided in china and vietnam. Additional progrms: formula project: supplies infant milk powder to partner orphanages for infant until they turn one. We monitor the children's growth progress and provide additional nutritional supplements and any medical care needed. During 2019, 52 children benefited from this project. Beijing foster program: we provide learning opportunities, physical therapy, and partner with the best hospitals in china to care for our special needs orphans. The 25 bed facility is staffed with one nanny for every three children, to make sure that each child gets plenty of attention. When the children no longer require daily medical care, they are placed with local foster families. New day south foster home: partnering with rural orphanages, we are able to facilitate surgeries and secure the best medical care for their most medically fragile children. New day north foster home: work continues in inner mongolia, bringing children to beijing for life saving surgeries and life changing therapy. New day foster home north also provides a special needs care & training center, which is providing care for several special needs children. In addition, new day north, in partnership with government orphanages, hires, trains and oversees nannies carring for special needs children. In 2019, there were a total of 41 children receiving care and beneifts. Vietnam project: in addition to working with state orphanages, we participate in helping special needs children of disadvantaged families, providing strength & support for the families while providing surgical & medical care for the children. We also provide these services for children in foster care or state orphanages. The vision of the pediatric global nursing education program is to improve health outcomes in children in developing countries by improving nurse competency in pediatric nursing skills through global education outreach programs.”
