To stimulate, improve, develop and promote the economy of san diego north county through vigorous advocacy in marketing the region for industrial and commercial development and investment. The desired outcome is an increase in job opportunities, as well as an increase in production output and distribution.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4D: Other Program Services Description

Other program services 4: leadership north county - sdnedc co-sponsors the nine-session program with cal state san marcos and the north county times. The program is a comprehensive regional community involvement program that educates potential and current community leaders about the critical issues facing north san diego county. Other program services 5: sdnedc hosts multiple summits, symposiums and luncheons throughout the year to further promote the economy of san diego north county including:- annual luncheon: focused on one to two key industries, this initiative focused on the growth of the region's sectors and provided them opportunies for growth and expansion. It allowed the public to become more aware of an industry and its effects on the economy as a whole.- economic summit: developed a roadmap that derived the economic development and competivie strategies. Sdnedc worked with multiple sectors and industries to analyze their specific needs. The study allowed us to begin our economic development strategy for the region by researching the economy and determining its industry clusters. It focused on our future endeavors for economic development in the region.
