Mission

Affordable housing clearinghouse is a california not-for-profit organization, consisting of a network of lending institutions dedicated to providing affordable housing in southern california, for low to moderate income individuals through (a) providing home buyers education and credit counseling; (b) reviewing and compiling loan applications as well as coordinating loan applicants with lenders; (c) acquiring, rehabilitating or constructing and reselling affordable housing; and (d) owning and managing low-income permanent housing.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 11B: Form 990 Review Process

Affordable housing clearinghouse has a finance committee responsible for reviewing budget, financials, audits and tax returns. As such once they are reviewed, the executive director distributes and presents them to the full board of directors prior to signing. Once the audit is drafted it is also reviewed and the full board acts as audit committee, makes recommendations and the executive director signs.

On an annual basis officers, directors or trustees, and key employees are given a form to complete regarding conflict of interest.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 15A: Compensation Review & Approval Process - CEO, Top Management

On an annual basis a performance review of the executive director is conducted by the human resource committee. This committee consists of the vice president and one other director. The committee uses a form to evaluate the executive directors performance and set compensation.
