Mission

Project Stork Inc. is a New York nonprofit corporation dedicated to supporting families through education and charitable services focused on lactation maternal health and infant well-being.

Project Stork Inc. is a community-based nonprofit organization serving 200 + monthly participants in the area of basic human needs of infants and toddlers while positively impacting the maternal mental health and wellness of either the prenatal or postpartum parent. Project Stork Inc. provides a strength-based approach that is participant centered that offers resources for low-income families with maternal mental health concerns prenatal and postpartum transportation barriers and the inability to provide adequate basic needs for their infant and or toddler.

-Screen 85% of their participant population for potential PMAD using the PHQ-2 or EPDS. -Ensure that 90% of their participants will follow up with an in-person 6 week postpartum visit with their care provider. -Provide ongoing phone and text support to 100% of program participants. -Provide outside referrals for all high risk participants Outcomes: -Participants who receive phone text PMAD support from their peers will continue to show fewer signs of depression after delivery. This will be captured through continuous screening throughout their program enrollment. -Participants will receive in-person medical support and have the tools to discuss their mental health with their provider. -Participants will receive ongoing text phone support as well as access to connect with their peer mom-to-mom support. It will be because of programs like this that we can reduce the risk factors of untreated PMAD such as child abuse and neglect loss of financial resources developmental delays in$0$20,000
The support of the foundation ensured that our participants could continue with program services. While this program is thriving we are targeting our next barrier for prenatal and postpartum participants.$0$2,500
