“The eastern region soybean board is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(5) of the internal revenue code and, therefore, has made no provision for income taxes in the accompanying financial statements. The eastern region soybean board believes its exempt status will be sustained under audit and believes it does not have any significant uncertain tax positions. No required annual returns are currently under examination by taxing jurisdictions.”
