IRS990/Desc0National Conversation, Annual Dinner and Annual Members Meeting The Councils annual National Conversation is an opportunity for Members and government officials to discuss key topics of mutual interest in a more widely-attended event that is open to the press. The organizations Annual Dinner, also open to the press, is held each December and provides a business forum in a holiday atmosphere in which its senior executive members and government officials with whom the Council has engaged with meet in peer-to-peer informal networking to celebrate accomplishments in the Homeland Security space over the past year. The event also honors outstanding homeland security enterprise public officials with its annual Service Achievement Award and Recognition for Public-Private Sector Engagement. The Councils Annual Members Meeting is held each spring to review the previous years programs/initiatives, distribute its Annual Report, discuss the priorities and challenges of its members in the Homeland Security marketplace going forward, and hear from a government official on issues of mutual concern.
