Mission

The Homeland Security and Defense Business Council is a forum that promotes and enhances communication between government agencies and private industries. The Council presents the business community with the opportunity to interact with representatives from the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Department of Defense, State and Local Government and Federal Agencies. As a membership-based organization, the Council delivers and promotes analysis of key subject issues by experts and coordinates events that promote networking.

The event honors an outstanding current or former public officials with its annual Service Achievement Award and Recognition for Public-Private Sector Engagement. The organizations Annual Members Meeting is held each spring to review the previous years programs/initiatives, distribute its Annual Report, discuss the priorities and challenges of its members in the Homeland Security marketplace, and hear from a current or former government official, as to the agencys priorities going forward.
