Mission
Vision y compromiso's mission is to promote community well being by supporting promotoras and community health workers as viable community assets and as agents critical to social change. Vision y compromiso is uniquely positioned to serve these active community members, educators, and liaisons by offering capacity building and research support to the network of promotoras and community health workers (p/chws) and their partner organizations.

- Activity 2
- Annual conference:vision y compromiso's annual conference is a statewide and national convening that hosts 1,000 promotore and community health workers in two days of workshops.
- Activity 3
- Network:the network is a forum for promotores and community health workers to exchange information related to access, quality of care, health disparities, emerging issues in community health care reform, and professional development. The network provides promotores and community health workers with the skills they need to understand and interpret the theory, methodology and evaluation associated with their community work enabling them to feel confident in a changing world. The network validates the promotores as the community experts who determine community priorities via a consensus building process. Today, this network represents over 4,000 promotores in 13 regions of california, one region in mexico, and many others currently in progress across the united states.
