“In fy20 partnership for community action continued work alongside community. The organization adapted operations to continue this work throughout the pandemic, meeting in virtual spaces to remain connected amidst mandatory shutdowns. The organization continued its advocacy work in relation to education, economic and health policy priorities impacting bipoc communities across the state. Pca organized with over 100 individuals/families as the leaders of lasting systems level change in nm communities. The organization continued the co-op capital lending program. Approx. 150,000 in low interest loans has been made available based on social capital. Over 70% of borrowers are engaged in restorative economics curriculum organizing around community identified issues impacting families the most. Pca also offered 60 families 600 emergency loans through the co-op capital model to support community through the pandemic. All loans were forgiven. Pca leaders led an energy audit community initiative partnering with ecosystem organizations to lower energy costs for hundreds of nm households. Pca also supported early child care entrepreneurs with stipends to support business development, growth and sustainability as well as organizing opportunities to strengthen a network of home based child care providers. Pca secured the remainder of funding to support the construction of the south valley social enterprise center. A 4.1m community development project that can serve as a model for alternative economic development statewide.”

“The partnership annually evaluates all federal and state income tax positions. This process includes an analysis of whether these income tax positions the organization takes meet the definition of an uncertain tax position under the income taxes topic of the financial accounting standards codification. As of june 30, 2020, there were no uncertain tax positions noted. The partnership's policy is to classify income tax penalties and interest, when applicable, according to their natural classification. Under the statute of limitations, the partnership's tax returns are no longer subject to examination by tax authorities for years prior to 2017.”

APPROX. 150,000 IN LOW INTEREST LOANS HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE BASED ON SOCIAL CAPITAL. OVER 70% OF BORROWERS ARE ENGAGED IN RESTORATIVE ECONOMICS CURRICULUM ORGANIZING AROUND COMMUNITY IDENTIFIED ISSUES IMPACTING FAMILIES THE MOST. PCA ALSO OFFERED 60 FAMILIES 600 EMERGENCY LOANS THROUGH THE CO-OP CAPITAL MODEL TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY THROUGH THE PANDEMIC. ALL LOANS WERE FORGIVEN. PCA LEADERS LED AN ENERGY AUDIT COMMUNITY INITIATIVE PARTNERING WITH ECOSYSTEM ORGANIZATIONS TO LOWER ENERGY COSTS FOR HUNDREDS OF NM HOUSEHOLDS. PCA ALSO SUPPORTED EARLY CHILD CARE ENTREPRENEURS WITH STIPENDS TO SUPPORT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, GROWTH AND SUSTAINABILITY AS WELL AS ORGANIZING OPPORTUNITIES TO STRENGTHEN A NETWORK OF HOME BASED CHILD CARE PROVIDERS.
