“| Description:, Expense Amount:, Grants Amount:, Revenue Amount:| FISH Right Project: The USAID Fish Right Program is a seven year 2018-2025 program and a partnership between the Government of the Philippines and the United States Government through the U.S. Agency for International Development USAID to influence system change within the fisheries sector by improving resource user compliance with agreed upon fisheries practices resulting in increased fish biomass in the three marine key biodiversity areas MKBA. PATH Foundation Philippines Inc. PFPI leads the implementation of Fish Right Program in the municipalities of Culion Coron Linapacan and Busuanga in the Calamianes Island Group in Palawan Province. The expanded scope of the Program in October 2021 included additional municipalities in the West Philippines Sea WPS in particular the Kalayaan Island Group located in Palawan Province in FMA 5 and Bajo de Masinloc in Zambales Province in FMA 6 as focus areas. The goal of the program is 10% increase in fish biomass across three sites based on catch-per-unit-effort and observed reef fish biomass achieved through the five program objectives: 1 Put in place at least 2.5 million hectares of marine area under improved management effectiveness and sustainability based on a suite of regulatory and economic instruments; 2Improved capacities and accountability of at least 50 institutions to implement resilience and ecosystem-based fisheries management; 3Established and or improve at least 40 policies regulations that support resilient and ecosystem-based fisheries management; 4 Enhanced participation and leadership of at least 100 civil society organizations or networks of organizations representing women and men in resilient and ecosystem-based fisheries management; and 5 Increased investments leveraged from at least 8 public-private partnerships that contribute to resilient and ecosystem-based fisheries management., $366263, $58558, $0| In 2022 the following are PFPI-FISH Right project's key accomplishments: I. On capacity building a total of 467 individuals were trained on GIS FishMapping conservation enterprise mangrove nursery management and out planting gender community watchers II. On program and policy reforms eleven 11 policies and plans related to MPAS right sizing mangrove management and IUU reduction were crafted and passed. The Memorandum of Agreement of 4 LGUs in CIG for the operationalization of Calamianes Inter-LGU Fisheries Resources Management plan was also executed and generated PhP 400,000 cash commitments from the four municipalities to implement the plan. III. On constituency building three hundred three 303 new champions eco-warriors and advocates of rights sizing RSS etc. have been engaged oriented and led community and policy activities. IV. On enhancing climate resilience capacities one thousand two hundred forty-four 1,244 hectares of mangroves was monitored and managed. V. On reducing illegal unregulated and unreported fishing IUUF twenty 20 trainees were trained on the Philippine IUU Fishing Index and Threat Assessment Too a suite of tools to a assess the status of IUU fishing in a given area b identify other longer-lasting and targeted solutions to reducing IUU fishing and c track the progress towards preventing deterring and eliminating IUU fishing in Philippine waters across various levels of governance. Trainers assessed fifteen 15 LGUs in Palawan resulting in the development of 15 IUUF Reduction plans. VI. On engaging women in fisheries resource management eight 8 community savings groups were established monitored and were assisted on proposal development and linked to national agencies. This resulted in one group receiving almost PhP 12M project approved. VII.
