Ohio Healthy Homes Network

“The mission of the Ohio Healthy Homes Network is to promote healthy, safe and affordable housing for people of all ages. OHHNs purpose is to increase public awareness of health and safety hazards in the home, provide education and networking opportunities for the healthy homes field, develop public policies that improve the health, safety and affordability of housing, and empower parents in communities affected by home health and safety hazards to advocate on behalf of their families and communities. In 2020 OHHN migrated to an online learning seminar series instead of a Forum due to COVID-19. A modest amount of fundraising was completed to support these efforts. OHHN completed a succession process to evaluate options and hire a new CEO based on current conditions. OHHN partnered with the Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio (COHHIO) to rent office space and to provide access to some high-level support, such as utilizing their webinar services for the OHHN Webinar.OHHN received an additional $30,000 from GLENN to continue its lead advocacy work. This includes partnering closely and providing staffing time/services to the Ohio Lead-Free Kids Coalition.”
