Mission

The mission of the church is to assist the poor and needy in our community

Our mission: is to reach out and help those in need with food, clothing, community services and educational programs, by partnering with local government agencies, schools, businesses, churches, civic groups, clubs, neighborhood organizations, along with community members and their leaders to help improve the lives and situations of the residents and the community of Mars Hill, Indianapolis "Together We Can Make a Difference"

The mission partnered with Feed the Children to bring $72,000 worth of food and personal items to the community. The mission coordinated with local Fire and Police Departments to do an intial distribution of items totaling $48,600 to 270 families on one day based on a prequalification listing. The remaining items were then distributed over the course of the next few months to others that were not able to make it on the inital distribution day. The cost to the mission was $9,000 to pay for the delivery trucks that hauled the donated items.$0$9,000
The mission holds a weekly food pantry pick up. Through is program the mission was able to give away $34,656.09 worth of food and personal items to the local community. These items came from donations made by businesses and individuals to the mission. This is an established program that has no expenses and is ran 100% by volunteers and the coordinated efforts of local businesses. Through this program we were able to serve 1,389 households with an average household size of 2.58. This program allowed us to help feed and clothe approximately 3,759 kids and adults over the course of the year.$0$0
The mission holds an annual toy drive and partners with both Ray Skillman Auto Group and Toys for Tots and was able to help provide 400 children with christmas presents within the community. This year the partnership with Ray Skillman consisted of volunteers of the mission going to target where we were able to shop for 100 kids and everything was paid for by the Ray Skillman Auto Group. We also partnered with Toys for Tots and received a donation of $30,600 worth of toys that were distributed to an additional 300 children. The mission has no expense associated with this program.$0$0
