Activity 2

Emergency HEAP program is a federally funded program that assists income eligible households whose heating services are disconnected, in threat of disconnection, or have less than a ten-day supply of bulk fuel. The program can also assist clients with deposits for primary and/or secondary heat sources to establish service.

Activity 3

The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Program provides community programming to the three county area. The Neighborhood Service Centers are funded through CSBG. These centers provide information and referral for all of GMN?s programs, and a community forum (Policy Advisory Council) through which low income persons can have their concerns heard. The purpose of the Neighborhood Service Centers is to provide any service that is beneficial for a better way of life for low-income, aged, handicapped or socially unaccepted persons. Many services are available through the central office and the various programs therein. However, the Neighborhood Service Centers act as a referral service to other agencies outside GMN Tri-County CAC, Inc.
