“Each officer and director of the organization receives a draft copy of the form 990 and they review it together at a board meeting before it is filed.”
“All officers and directors receive a copy of the conflict of interest policy. They sign an annual statement declaring that they: received a copy of the policy; have read and understood the policy; agree to comply with the policy; and understood that the policy applies to all committees and sub-committees. If the board determines that a conflict of interest does exist, it may appoint a non-interested person or committee to investigate alternatives.
