The mission of the full frame initiative is to change systems so that people and communities experiencing poverty, violence and trauma have the tools, supports and resources they need to thrive. Ffi's work is built upon our two critical discoveries: (cont'd, schedule o)1) the small number of organizations around the country that are effective at breaking cycles of poverty, violence and trauma share a common dna: they support people in the "full frame" of their lives. Instead of responding to discrete "issues," these organizations leverage people's strengths and help build assets in what we call the five domains of wellbeing: social connectedness, stability, safety, mastery and meaningful access to relevant resources; and 2) many more organizations seek to operate with a full frame approach, but are stymied by regulations, funding requirements and other barriers.
Ffi works nationally to break cycles of poverty and violence through systems change.

“Ffi will provide a copy of the 990 to the executive committee of the board for their review. The executive committee will give their thoughts/endorsement of the 990 to the full board of directors, all of whom would have been provided a copy of the 990 prior to the meeting at which they are expected to act. The full board must vote to approve the 990 prior to its being filed with the irs. The full board, at its sole discretion, may authorize the executive committee to act on this matter; however, the 990 shall not be filed without all board members being provided the opportunity to review.”
“To ensure the organization operates in a manner consistent with charitable purposes and does not engage in activities that could jeopardize its tax-exempt status, periodic reviews shall be conducted. “The chair of the board of the full frame initiative leads the review of the ceo. All board members are asked for input regarding the process (e.g. What areas of performance were most salient for the review) and a review form is created. Input on the ceo's performance is solicited from all board members, compiled, and shared with board members. The ceo and the board chair then meet to discuss the review. Following that discussion, the full board meets in executive session to discuss the ceo's performance and compensation. The board seeks to compare adjustments to the ceo's salary against market averages, and to review adjustments in terms of comparable organizations in the region. The board's final decision is documented in the executive session section of the contemporaneous board minutes. The above-noted policy will be used any time the board reviews the ceo's compensation.”
