IRS990/Desc0In June of 2017, AREDAY hosted its thirteenth annual national four day summit. The key segments of the summit were about: a film festival about fossil fuels impact the environment, how investing and what we eat affects the world around us, how to finance the new climate economy, and other topics related to climate literacy and energy policy in a changing world. The overall theme was about Implementing Low Carbon Economies.These were presented by leading environmentalists, business people, scientists and politicians including the President of Iceland, T. Boone Pickens and Dr. Sylvia Earle. The summit was attended by more than 300 people. There were approximately 160 speakers and panelists. Important ideas were not only exchanged at the summit but also through media outlets.
