“Management asserts that they have no uncertain tax positions. Asc 740 clarifies the accounting for uncertainity in tax positions and requires that an entity recognize in its financial statements the impact of a tax position, only if it is more likely than not of being sustained upon examiniation, based on the technical merits of the position. As a result of the implementation, hpc recognized no material adjustments to the liability for unrecognized income tax benefits. Hpc is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. Hpc believes it is no longer subject to income tax examinations for years up to and including the year ended december 31, 2014.”
