Mission

Slcc is a faith-based, not-for-profit cardiovascular specialty organization committed to providing superior cardiovascular health care and health services. We value an integrated approach emphasizing clinical excellence, advanced cardiovascular research, and subspecialty medical education. As a member of saint luke's health system, we are dedicated to enhancing the physical, mental and spiritual health of the diverse communities we serve.

The saint luke's health system board of directors' physician contract review committee also reviews and approves physician compensation. Independent, external directors serve on the committee. An independent physician compensation consulting firm provided a written report and reasonableness opinion. The board committee's actions are contemporaneously documented. This process satisfies the rebuttable presumption procedure. Directors are not compensated for services as a director.

MEDICAL STUDENTS AND RESIDENTS ROTATE ON THE INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY'S CARDIOLOGY SERVICE STAFFED BY SLCC'S PHYSICIANS. IN ADDITION, THERE ARE ACGME-ACCREDITED FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS IN CARDIOVASCULAR MEDICINE, ADVANCE HEART FAILURE AND CARDIAC TRANSPLANT, ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY, INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY, AND CARDIOVASCULAR OUTCOMES. FELLOWSHIPS IN PREVENTIVE CARDIOLOGY AND CARDIOVASCULAR IMAGING ARE ALSO OFFERED. THE PROGRAM DIRECTORS FOR ALL OF THESE CARDIOVASCULAR FELLOWSHIPS ARE SLCC PHYSICIANS.SLCC IS ALSO DEDICATED TO CLINICAL RESEARCH.
