“Election of members and their rights subject to the authority of the board of directors to designate and appoint one or more committees as provided in these bylaws, all corporate powers shall be exercised by or under autority of, and the affairs and property of fba shall be controlled by its board of directors, which shall consist of not less that three (3) and not more that ten (10) directors (not including any es officio directiors). The number of directors may be increased or decreased form time to time by a majority vote of the board of directors; but in no event shall the board of directors consist of less than three (3) directors. “In march, "petite performance" to raise funds for regional dance america southwest trip to baton rouge, la. In april, fba traveled to baton rouge, la as the only performing member dance company from new mexico in the regional dance america southwest festival. In may, fba performed at national hispanic cultural center with all new choreography including midsummer nights dream. Fba also performed peter and the wolf in collaboration with the new mexico philharmonic for six shows for over 6000 school children including one performance specifically dedicated for people of all ages with autism. In august, fba held auditions for the 2016-2017 season with over 100 in attendance. In october, fba produced "dracula, a love story" at national hispanic cultural center. In november, fba performed two onsite aps elementary school shows as part of the urban enhancement trust fund city of albuquerque grant. In addition, fba produced the music and dance annual benefit. In december, fba performed excerpts of the nutcracker in the land of enchantment at rio rancho senior citizen community. Fba also produced nutcracker in the land of enchantment in collaboration with national hispanic cultural center for 4 performances including over 125 professional musicians, dancers, designers and stage crew. Furthermore, fba provided a free full final dress rehearsal performance of nutcracker in the land of enchantment to over 500 clients of area health and human resource organizations including those serving the homeless, domestically abused women and children, physically and mentally challenged individuals, families of incarcerated men and women, clients of educational initiative programs, title 1 students, many current clients of halfway houses, and children involved in grief counseling. Last but not least, fba provided a school time performance of excerpts of nutcracker in the land of enchantment for over 400 children from title 1 schools at greatly reduced fee.”
