“Starbucks corporate social responsibility - veteran empowerment video vap worked with the starbucks community, to develop a promotional video for the first ever muster in seattle, washington. Vap's role was not only to create high quality digital media but include veterans in the process of producing the media. This resulted in a strong partnership between veterans and civilian media makers who were ultimately able to showcase their work in front of key government and corporate leaders in seattle in october 2015. The intent of the videos was to introduce key leaders and vips to the concept of the muster and opportunities for their companies, organizations and networks to continue to engage veterans in an intentional way. Vap's model of mixing programs with production offered the starbucks community an opportunity build amazing content and support veteran artists at the same time.”
“Willow housing project - commissioning veteran artwork vap commissioned 5 veteran visual artists, including one sculpture artist, to install 5 art pieces at the willow housing project in california. This project houses 60 veterans, many of whom were homeless prior to moving into the development. Willow housing showcases vap veteran artists from around the country. Vap worked with the development team to commission pieces of art created by veterans, including an outdoor sculpture, photographs, and paintings. Each art piece includes the name of the artist, the branch of military, years served, and the inspiration behind the piece or why the veteran became an artist.”

THE INTENT OF THE VIDEOS WAS TO INTRODUCE KEY LEADERS AND VIPS TO THE CONCEPT OF THE MUSTER AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEIR COMPANIES, ORGANIZATIONS AND NETWORKS TO CONTINUE TO ENGAGE VETERANS IN AN INTENTIONAL WAY. VAP'S MODEL OF MIXING PROGRAMS WITH PRODUCTION OFFERED THE STARBUCKS COMMUNITY AN OPPORTUNITY BUILD AMAZING CONTENT AND SUPPORT VETERAN ARTISTS AT THE SAME TIME. |
