Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 1

The executive committee consists of the President, Vice President, Board Chair, and a Board Director. The committee has the authority of the Board of Directors in the management of the Corporation. The delegation thereto of authority shall not operate to relieve the Board of Directors, or any indivdiual Director, of any responsibility imposed on him or her by law.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11

Form 990 is prepared by an independent CPA firm and reviewed in detail by the organization's top management. The reviewed Form 990 is provided to the board of directors after being filed with the IRS.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12C

Each fiscal year all corporation representatives are required to file a statement with the Secretary of the corpoation that lists their directorships, memberships, or other relationships which might cause the individual or their spouse to be biased or otherwise partial in any business or charitable matter involving the corporation. The Secretary reviews signed statements and ensures compliance with the policy. If a matter related to a potential conflict were to arise at a board meeting, the interested person would abstain from voting on matters related to the noted conflict.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15A

The independent Board conducted research on compensation amounts for presidents of similar sized not-for-proft organizations. The board members used the information from the research to determine and approve the amount to be paid to the organization's president. No other officer or board member receives compensation from the organization. This is documented in the Board minutes.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19

Davar Partners International will make available, upon written request, its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements.

IRS990/Desc0Since its inception, Davar Partners International (DPI) has laid a global network of strategic ministry relations with audio providers, technology suppliers, in-field ministries, prayer partners, and funding partners. DPI has served in 60 nations with over 300 partnering organizations, providing training and audio Scripture engagement resources. The primary vision of DPI is to see every non-reader in the world has the opportunity to personally engage with the Word of God in a language close to their hearts. It is DPI's mission to enable the maximum number of non-readers to personally engage with the Word of God in the shortest amount of time possible, utilizing the most effective means available. DPI accomplishes this mission through program services described below: (continued on Schedule O)Audibible - The Audibible is a solar-rechargeable audio player in a strong and sturdy package about the size of a cell-phone, capable of holding hundreds or thousands of hours of high quality audio content. It was designed and developed as a cost efficient, durable tool to meet the needs of those who do not read.Missions Awareness and Outreach - DPI helps connect and equip partners serving oral learning communities by (a) building awareness about the audio scripture revolution and vision, (b) supplying audio scripture engagement programs and tools for Church planters, (c) providing training, coaching, and educational materials on audio scripture engagement, (d) producing recordings of audio scripture and Biblical story sets, as well as Biblical teaching not available through other content providers, (e) creating prayer profiles of Bible-less oral learning people groups, and (f) delivering turnkey solutions for outreach teams.Audio recording - In cases where languages do not have a full Bible or other audio material available, Davar will partner with others in the supply chain, such as translators , content owners, etc, in order to record audio material for the Audibible.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0The executive committee consists of the President, Vice President, Board Chair, and a Board Director. The committee has the authority of the Board of Directors in the management of the Corporation. The delegation thereto of authority shall not operate to relieve the Board of Directors, or any indivdiual Director, of any responsibility imposed on him or her by law.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1Form 990 is prepared by an independent CPA firm and reviewed in detail by the organization's top management. The reviewed Form 990 is provided to the board of directors after being filed with the IRS.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt2Each fiscal year all corporation representatives are required to file a statement with the Secretary of the corpoation that lists their directorships, memberships, or other relationships which might cause the individual or their spouse to be biased or otherwise partial in any business or charitable matter involving the corporation. The Secretary reviews signed statements and ensures compliance with the policy. If a matter related to a potential conflict were to arise at a board meeting, the interested person would abstain from voting on matters related to the noted conflict.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt3The independent Board conducted research on compensation amounts for presidents of similar sized not-for-proft organizations. The board members used the information from the research to determine and approve the amount to be paid to the organization's president. No other officer or board member receives compensation from the organization. This is documented in the Board minutes.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt4Davar Partners International will make available, upon written request, its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements.
