Mission

The organization is dedicated to providing housing counseling classes, tenant services, after school programs, and other programs to alleviate the effects of poverty in prince george's county, maryland.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Service linked housing - resident advocates provide information and referral services to residents of mount rainier artists apartments, newton green senior apartments in bladensburg, and the renaissance square artists apartments in hyattsville. Services include job training, budget counseling, parenting skills training, and education. Support services coordinators provided on-site recreational activities, food pantries, and other social activities to residents of these properties as well as elkton senior apartments.
Activity 3
Street scholarships - the street scholarship program attempts to solve the problems of unemployment and violence in the palmer park area of prince george's county where the high school drop out rate and the unemployment rate are both very high. The program is available to anyone who is over sixteen, is not in school, and is either unemployed or underemployed. The program pays for them to take educational courses, usually at the community college. For the fiscal years ended june 30, 2013 and 2012, approximately 52 and 51 students were provided scholarships, respectively.
