The mission of the rotary youth club ("ryc") is to empower youth to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Ryc achieves this mission by offering year-round youth development programs to youth ages 5-18.

DURING JULY, THE SUMMER ENRICHMENT ACADEMY IS INCORPORATED INTO THE DAILY SCHEDULE. THIS PORTION OF THE PROGRAM TAKES PLACE ON MONDAYS-THURSDAYS FROM 9AM UNTIL NOON. IT IS A HANDS-ON LEARNING PROGRAM PREPARING YOUTH TO RETURN TO SCHOOL WITH THE SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE TO BE SUCCESSFUL. THE YOUTH SPEND AN HOUR EACH DAY WITH CERTIFIED TEACHERS WORKING ON MATH, READING AND SCIENCE. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO REDUCE, AND ULTIMATELY ELIMINATE, SUMMER LEARNING LOSS WHILE ENGAGING THE YOUTH IN FUN, INTERACTIVE LEARNING. IN THE AFTERNOONS AND ON FRIDAYS, THE MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN OTHER RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND TAKE FIELD TRIPS.
