“Part iii primary exempt purpose eagles nest ranch provides the community a place to renew hope, build trust and experience growth from various types of adversity and emotional wounds through their interaction with horses and a loving and welcoming staff. This takes place at a peaceful ranch environment and is provided free of charge. We believe that no matter how dark the day, there is always hope through gods steadfast love and forgiveness.additionally, enr is a place for unwanted, abandoned and neglected horses/equines in the community. These equines will be taken in and cared for through feeding, nourishing, vetting and training in order to find them new loving and caring homes. The horses in hardship that become part of the program can then be matched with an individual who has also experienced hardships and adversity. Together human and animal, through the mentoring guidance of a staff person, can start rebuilding hope and trust for the future based on gods unconditional love and acceptance.it is our desire that eagles nest ranch be a place of hope and healing to the community of people along the front range.part iii line 28 - the healing horses for the armed forces program serves active duty and veteran service members as well as their family members by offering interactive sessions with horses in order to increase hope, trust and growth. We served 22 military households, 35 individuals in 51 sessions. In the fall of 2016, two groups of veterans from the denver vas medical center homeless program began to come to the ranch every other week with a va worker. For many of them, coming to the ranch was the highlight of their week. They enjoyed working on the ranch as much as interacting with the horses. Getting out of the city and coming to the peaceful environment of the ranch was a balm to their broken lives. They interacted with the horses by grooming, leading, bathing, some riding and learning basic horsemanship which helped bring peace and lessened their anxiety. Over and over the veterans thanked us for providing the opportunity to come to the ranch and be with the horses. Several reported that their stress and anxiety decreased due to their interaction with the horses.part iii line 29 the soaring program serves the general public by offering interactive sessions with horses in order to increase hope, trust and growth. Throughout the summer we served disadvantaged children from the poorest neighborhood of denver called sun valley. The neighborhood is served by the sun valley youth center which provides childcare and educational activities for the children throughout the year. The children were brought to the ranch by the youth center as a part of their educational activity. They learned about caring for horses and the value of work as they did chores around the ranch each week. Through the horses, the children learned about leadership, communication, confidence, compassion, assertiveness, patience and kindness. They also did crafts and learned about 4-h while at the ranch. There were 32 children in the program who came to the ranch at least one or more times in the 10 sessions. We also served 12 other individuals in the soaring program that came seeking help due to depression, anxiety and stress among other challenges. A total of 51 sessions were offered in the soaring program. In that horses give unconditionally, are not judgmental and will develop relationships with humans, people find that being with them is freeing and gives them peace and stability they are seeking. We are happy to provide these opportunities to encourage people to not give up on life and move past any adversity they face.during the summer of 2017 we offered three first responder kids buckaroo days whereby we invited children of local law enforcement, firefighters and paramedics out to the ranch for a day of fun and encouragement. Knowing that first responders face unique challenges that can stress families, we wanted to offer some time off for th”
