“The bon lin middle school band boosters is a school support organization that was formed when bon lin middle school opened in august 2008. The bon lin middle school band boosters exists to inspire and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various activities and needs of the instrumental music department of bon lin middle school. The organzation supports, both moral and financial, the instrumental music program of bon lin middle school and cooperates with those in charge of the program. The bon lin middle school band boosters works towards achieving community involvement in the band program on the basis of its obvious benefits for the student participants. All expenses related to the bon lin middle school band program that are not paid for by bon lin middle school or shelby county schools are paid from the funds managed by bon lin middle school band boosters which operates consistently within the policies adopted by the shelby county, tennessee county school board and bartlett, tennessee school board. Some of the significant activities of the band program have included christmas and spring concerts, performances for rising 6th graders and parents, a community concert at a local barnes & noble booktore, and various school events. The band also participates in band competitions, both locally and regionally.”
