“Youth programs - two cranes institute (tci) provided after school aikido training at hazel wolf k-8 for two quarters in 2015. A total of 24 students received training. The program was very popular and tci received many requests to offer more classes. Due to space issues at the school and staffing issues at tci, fewer classes were offered in 2015 than in 2014. Tci is working on certifying more teachers to accommodate interest in the after school programs. The training offered through these programs is of increasing importance as our communities grapple with the effect of bullying in schools which ultimately extends into the workplace later in life.”

“Leadership program - our leadership program offers ways to improve management skills, develop emotional intelligence to handle complex situations and resolve conflicts, build trust, facilitate effective teamwork and negotiate sustainable agreements. During 2015, two leadership intensive training sessions were scheduled, planned, and later cancelled due to due to low enrollment. Tci is now examining the potential for strategic alliances that can help leverage awareness of our programs, ensure sustainable funding and create a pathway to make our leadership programs available to the community.”
