Employees and teachers. Our programs follow a comprehensive, research-based and research-proven curriculum called creative curriculum. Alongside the curriculum, we use the teaching strategies gold comprehensive assessment to create a developmental portfolio for each child. Our teachers document daily activities and developmental milestones. The portfolio continues with the child throughout their years at a step up child development centers. The assessment allows teachers and parents to observe progress over the years and discover where extra attention is needed. Children are observed in 7 areas: literacy, mathematics, physical-fine motor, physical-gross motor, language, cognitive ability and social emotional skills. 98% of the children ages 6 to 12 months were meeting/exceeding expectations in all four areas measured. Children ages birth to 12 months are not assessed on literacy and mathematics. Every class is meeting/exceeding expectations in social-emotional, gross motor and fine motor skills. We are open monday through friday from 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. And adhere to the collier schools academic calendar by operating from mid-august through early june. The program is licensed to serve up to 143 children at any point in time. During the 2015-2016 fiscal year, the program served 182 children.

Model for learning, the reggio emilia philosophy, to a whole new group of children. In addition, we offer partial scholarships to children whose families are working but still fall below the poverty level. In this program, 50 percent of the children who attend are from low-income, working families and receive partial financial assistance through cccr. The children in the program are diverse with families from various socio- economic backgrounds and incomes ranging from below the poverty level to non-needy. Child's path provides a hands-on approach to education, focusing on a child's social, emotional and physical well-being. The children are given the opportunity to discover, create and learn in a safe, nurturing and positive atmosphere. Our hope, for each child that attends our program, is for them to start school with self-confidence and a life-long love of learning. Children are encouraged to grow through curiosity. The environment is recognized for its potential to inspire children. We provide daily authentic art experiences by giving students resources and materials to encourage their creative process. Our program follows a comprehensive, research-based curriculum called creative curriculum. Alongside the curriculum, we use the teaching strategies gold comprehensive assessment to create a developmental portfolio for each child. Our teachers document daily activities and developmental milestones. The portfolio continues with the child throughout their years at child's path. The assessment allows teachers and parents to observe progress through the years and discover where extra attention is needed. All vpk children are assessed throughout the year on four developmental areas; print knowledge, phonological awareness, oral language/vocabulary and mathematics. Both vpk classrooms showed an increase in knowledge in all 4 areas throughout the 2015-2016 year, and 38 children graduated in may 2016. In the 2015-2016 school year child's path served over 100 children.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0NCEF EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER CHILD'S PATH COLLIER CHILD CARE RESOURCES (CCCR) ACQUIRED THE CHILD'S PATH PROGRAM FROM THE DAVID LAWRENCE CENTER IN 2016. THE CENTER HAS BEEN OFFERING EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT SINCE 1987, AND THE TEACHERS CURRENTLY HAVE A COMBINED 130 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. CHILD'S PATH SERVES UP TO 85 CHILDREN DAILY, AGES 2-5, YEAR ROUND. THE MAIN FOCUS IS TO HELP CHILDREN IN THE GOLDEN GATE AREA WITH AFFORDABLE CHILD CARE. GOLDEN GATE HAS BEEN MARKED BY MANY AGENCIES IN COLLIER COUNTY AS BEING IN NEED OF HIGH QUALITY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN BIRTH TO 5. CCCR HAS TAKEN NOTE OF THIS INCREASING NEED, AND WE ARE EXCITED TO BRING OUR MODEL FOR LEARNING, THE REGGIO EMILIA PHILOSOPHY, TO A WHOLE NEW GROUP OF CHILDREN.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORTING THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEEDS AND COORDINATING AND/OR PROVIDING QUALITY EDUCATION AND TRAINING WILL LEAD TO POSITIVE RESULTS AND ULTIMATELY INCREASE THE QUALITY OF CARE GIVEN TO CHILDREN. OUR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT OFFERS A WIDE VARIETY OF TRAININGS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS, CHILD CARE CENTER DIRECTORS AND PARENTS. WE OFFER AT LEAST 3 TRAINING SYMPOSIUMS A YEAR ON IN-DEMAND, RESEARCHED-BASED, RELEVANT TOPICS. THE SYMPOSIUMS ARE GEARED TOWARDS EARLY LEARNING PROFESSIONALS BUT ARE OPEN TO ANY EDUCATOR OR PARENT WANTING TO INCREASE THEIR KNOWLEDGE. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016, CCCR PROVIDED 5 SYMPOSIUMS AND REACHED OVER 400 PROFESSIONALS. 98% OF THE ATTENDEES SURVEYED AT ALL OF OUR 2015-2016 SYMPOSIUMS REPORTED HAVING LEARNED SOMETHING AND GREATLY ENJOYED THE SYMPOSIUM.
