OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: STUDENT CHALLENGES MUSEUM PROGRAMThe Student Challenge Museum Program is partnering with museums in four cities to demonstrate and document replicable approaches to integrating game design and civic engagement activities into museum education programs. G4C will adapt the Challenges methods and materialstested with schools, educators and other community partners over four years and in multiple citiesto the museum field. G4C will work with a team of advisors from the museum education community and digital media and learning field to guide the project. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: XR HACKATHONSThe Games for Change Student XR Hackathon program is an innovative program that invites students to visualize the future of 5G technology through creative Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality projects. The program is a partnership between the Verizon Foundation, Verizon Innovative Learning schools and Games forChange that demonstrates how 5G technology will improve our lives, empower our communities and drive real-world change. Across the country, middle school students join hands-on, immersive workshops to learn AR/VR tools and technologies, while gaining critical STEAM and 21st-century skills. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: RAISING GOOD GAMERS PHILANTHROPIC: The Raising Good Gamers initiative was launched to make online video game communities more youth-friendly and inclusive. Games for Change and the Connected Learning Lab at UC Irvine are bringing together game developers, video gaming advocates, researchers, educators, parents, and youth to create a youth-centered agenda for pro-social gaming; due to the growing problem of toxicity online that implicates us all in developing a response.”
