Mission

Humanitarian design initiatives for community empowerment and public education

Major Activities

Activity 2
Design revolution road show - the design revolution road show was a lecture/workshop series and traveling exhibition in an airstream trailer bringing "product design that empowers" to 35 high schools and university design programs across the nation in the spring of 2010. Over the course of 3 months, the roadshow traveled nationwide to inspire creative thinkers to use their skills toward social issues via workshops, lectures, and the use/distribution of the design revolution toolkit for community-based design initiatives.
Activity 3
Learning landscape - the learning landscape is an educational playground system that can be built in one day, for free, by anyone in the world using reclaimed tires and volunteer labor. The playground, in combination with a database of games adaptable for all elementary school subjects, inspires more engaged, active, and social learning that promotes leadership, communication, and logical reasoning. The learning landscape system also includes an open-source website through which all games and construction documents are made available for free to any and all.
