Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To provide evaluation, individual, and group counseling services to persons who have gambling problems and the family and friends of our clients who are affected by gambling without regard of their ability to pay.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Our goal of serving at least 25 new family members in treatment in 2010 was exceeded by at least 15% and the family members also reported positive success in their treatment.
Activity 3
Rpgc developed a successful relationship with the county public defenders, federal public defenders, and state and local attorneys, judges and law enforcement personnel following the passage of an amendment to nevada law allowing problem gamblers convicted of gambling-related crimes to be considered for a treatment diversion in their sentencing. Our efforts to support and teach the advantages of this law has resulted in a number of referrals to the rpgc of court-ordered clients who are in treatment and doing well.
