ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDE:FAMILY/FRIEND SUPPORT GROUP: FREE SUPPORT GROUPS OFFERED WEEKLY TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO THOSE WHOSE LOVED ONES HAVE EATING DISORDERS. PRESENTATIONS, CONFERENCES & EXHIBITS: APPROXIMATELY 150 INDIVIDUAL PRESENTATIONS AND EXHIBITS AIMED AT REACHING HUNDREDS OF HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS, EDUCATORS, STUDENTS, EMPLOYERS AND OTHERS.ADVOCACY: THE EMILY PROGRAM FOUNDATION REPRESENTATIVES, INCLUDING SEVERAL VOLUNTEERS, TRAVELED TO WASHINGTON, D.C. IN 2012 TO EDUCATE POLICY MAKERS ABOUT EATING DISORDERS AND DISCUSSED FEDERAL LEGISLATION THAT ADDRESSES EATING DISORDER EDUCATION AND PREVENTION, TREATMENT, AND RESEARCH.
