| In 2022 Gender Actions program accomplishments included:Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB): Publishing and presenting to the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) management and Board members an analysis of AIIB policies demonstrating that AIIB Policies Barely Address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)s climate, energy and gender goals which the AIIB committed to uphold. Additionally, years of intense Gender Action advocacy pressuring AIIB management and its Board to design and implement a gender policy or action plan, led to a 2022 AIIB commitment to prepare its first Gender Action Plan although the plan has not yet appeared. Therefore, Gender Action has continued pressuring the AIIB.International Financial Institutions (IFIs): Assessing, ranking and scoring the strength, adequacy or weakness of over a dozen International Financial Institution (IFI) gender policies and the gender sensitivity of their Environmental and Social Frameworks (ESFs) by applying Gender Actions ecofeminist human rights, climate change, gender and other indicators. This 2022 research formed for basis for a draft advocacy report (finalized and published in early 2023) pushing the IFIs to improve their investment impacts on poor women, men, and sexual and gender minorities (SGMs).International Monetary Fund (IMF): Providing deep feedback for improvements to the IMFs first-ever gender strategy draft. Since the IMFs mid-2022 publication of its disappointing strategy, Gender Action has engaged IMF official and shareholders to address problems. These include the half-century-old IMF macroeconomic paradigm promoting public spending cutbacks, regressive taxation and other measures that harm the livelihoods of poor women, men, and SGMs.World Bank: Producing a case study on the World Bank-financed Medupi coal plant in South Africa demonstrating the projects long-term havoc wreaked on women, girls and communities lives and planetary damage. The case was published in the Big Shift Global coalitions report, Investing in Climate Disaster: World Bank Group Investments in Fossil Fuels, which was sent to World Bank officials, Board members and the media during the 2022 World Bank annual meetings. The leading US environmental newspaper Grist reported on the publication including citing Gender Action based on an interview. | - | $70,104 |
