Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part III, Line 3: Ceased Conducting or Significant Changes To Services

Recognizing the shortage in staffing plaguing volunteer fire departments, West Ridge Fire Departmentbegan steps toward long term staffing solutions via a paid fire department system. Paid staff was placed in service in March 2015 to manage emergencies through peak call volume coupled with low volunteer manpower time periods, allowing for an increase in response times and public safety.
